Dr. Nicholas BlefariNicholas completed his general surgery training through John Hunter Hospital and the Hunter New England LHD in NSW, obtaining his FRACS at the end of 2023. He was accepted to the competitive ANZES fellowship training program, commencing training in 2024 at Liverpool Hospital. He subsequently completed a 2nd year of endocrine surgery fellowship training at the Monash University Endocrine Surgical Unit based at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. He is currently employed as an endocrine and general surgeon at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, whilst concurrently undertaking a PhD in translational cancer research.
Nicholas has a keen interest in all aspects of endocrine surgery, particularly in quality of life outcomes following thyroid surgery.
