Dr. Michelle CooperDr Michelle Cooper is a graduate of the University of Sydney with honors. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). She also holds a Bachelor of Nursing and Masters in Medical Research. She completed her internship at the Gold Coast Hospital.
Dr Cooper completed General Surgery training within South East QLD becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018. She completed post fellowship training in Colorectal surgery however has always had a special interest in Endocrine and Colorectal Surgery. She was appointed as a Staff Specialist at Gold Coast University Hospital. She also currently holds the position of Clinical Director for surgery.
She is involved in teaching and education of surgical trainees, medical staff and students and is affiliated with Griffith University where she is a senior lecturer.
