Dr. Janne BinghamJanne Bingham graduated from Queens’ University, Belfast in 1995. She trained in General Surgery in Northern Ireland and attained her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2007. During her training she undertook a period of full-time research and obtained a PhD in 2004. Following a year of specialised post Fellowship training on the Breast and Endocrine Surgery Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Janne returned to Northern Ireland to take up a consultant position in 2010, specialising in breast surgery. Janne returned to Adelaide in 2013 to commence practice on the Breast and Endocrine Surgery Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015.
Janne has appointments as a Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She is a visiting specialist at BreastScreen SA and is a clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide.
Janne is a member of the Breast, Endocrine and Women in Surgery sections of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She is also a member of BreastSurg ANZ, Association of Breast Surgeons (UK), Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons Society, International Association of Endocrine Surgeons, International Surgical Society, Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and General Surgeons Australia.
Janne has a strong interest in teaching and training. She teaches on the College run CCrISP (Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient) and TIPS (Training in Professional Standards) courses and is supervisor for the interns and post-fellowship trainees on the Breast and Endocrine Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
